CORT VANOSTRAN LEADS ANN WAGNER IN RACE FOR MISSOURI’S SECOND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

VanOstran holds a two point lead according to newly released poll

Webster Groves, MO. — Democratic congressional candidate Cort VanOstran (43%) leads Republican incumbent Ann Wagner (41%) in the race for Missouri’s Second Congressional District, according to a new poll released by Expedition Strategies. The survey also highlighted Donald Trump’s declining popularity in MO-02, with a majority of voters (54%) disapproving of the President’s job performance.

“Today’s numbers confirm what we’ve been hearing for over a year: The Second District is ready for a representative who will show up and is accountable to constituents,” said VanOstran. “From raiding Social Security, slashing consumer protections, and voting to cut 23 million people off of their healthcare, the Congresswoman has failed to deliver for the people of this district.”

While Ann Wagner hosts high-dollar fundraisers all across the country, VanOstran will continue to hold town halls and listen to voters about the issues that matter most to people in MO-02. Congresswoman Wagner has ignored multiple requests to debate VanOstran, who now leads her in a race that could determine control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Cort VanOstran is a lawyer, a teacher, and Democratic candidate for Congress in Missouri’s Second Congressional District.
