CORT VANOSTRAN BREAKS RECORD, OUTRAISES ANN WAGNER IN THIRD QUARTER
CLAYTON, MO – Congressional candidate Cort VanOstran set a record for a Democrat running in Missouri’s Second Congressional District by raising more than $225,000 in total contributions during the first quarter of his campaign, the most raised in one quarter by any Democrat since the district was redrawn in 2010.
VanOstran outraised Republican incumbent Ann Wagner, a consummate Washington insider, in total contributions during the third fundraising quarter of the year.
“I am truly humbled by the support.” VanOstran said. “Voters are sending a clear message to Ann Wagner that they are ready for a representative who shows up and works for each and every resident of the district, not just Washington lobbyists. This level of early support ensures that we will have the resources to take the fight to her next November.”
VanOstran’s campaign received more than 700 contributions, nearly 500 of which were $100 dollars or less.
VanOstran has been endorsed by Missouri State Representatives Stacey Newman and Trac y McCreery; former Mayor of Saint Louis Vince Schoemehl; former Missouri State Senators Joan Bray and Rita Heard Days; former Saint Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley; former Chief of Staff to Vice-President Al Gore, Charles Burson; and Parkway School Board Member Kristy Klein Davis.
